NBIAA Provinicial's set for Moncton

Bernice MacNaughton High School will host the 2018 NBIAA Cross Country Championships in Moncton on Friday, October 19th. This is sure to be an exciting day of races with many up-and-coming runners competing for top notches in the NBIAA rankings. Youth Cross Country Provincials Recap

This past weekend we held our second annual provincial Youth Cross Country Championships in Moncton. There were over 300 kids aged 13 and under who participated on Saturday. In the 5 and under category the girl's 500m run saw Eve Landry finish first, second was Ella Leblanc and third was Eva Boone. Shelley Doucet Breaks 2:40 Barrier in Chicago, Breaks NB Marathon Record

Shelley Doucet, of Quispamsis knocked 8 minutes off her provincial record which was previously set at 2:46.29, and broke the 2:40 barrier emphatically with a 2:38.49 at the Chicago Marathon today. She won her 35-39 age group division, was the 2nd Canadian across the line and finished 15th overall. Way to make New Brunswick proud Shelley!... >> more

Women’s Running Summit

On Saturday, September 29that the CEPS of Université de Moncton, Athletics New Brunswick and Run New Brunswick are hosting their first ever Women’s Running Summit. Girls and women of ages 13 and up are invited to mark their calendars, as this event is announcing itself as one of the most captivating of the year. 2018 Youth Cross Country Series

Athletics New Brunswick is excited to announce the second annual New Brunswick Youth Cross Country Series. This series is modeled after the indoor and outdoor Run Jump Throw Wheel Series but will focus solely on cross country events for elementary and middle school level athletes. New Brunswick will play host to two championship events for the series, including Provincials and Atlantics. The fall date is the first Monday of September which this year is the 3rd.  The online application is quite easy to complete and takes only a few minutes. NB excels at Canada 55+ Games-Track and Field

With the Canada 55+ games coming to a close once again, NB athletes are going home with great performances, lots of PBs, as well as a few provincial records!  Athlete of the Month

Athlete of the Month (September 2018): Patty Blanchard, Patty is well renowned in the NB running community and in her hometown of Dieppe. This month Patty competed in the World Master's Track and Field Championships in Magala, Spain. Patty is your current World Champion in the W60-64 800m with a time of 2:38.22, as well as in the 5000m where she ran a time of 20:29.07, she was also 2nd in the 1500m with a time of 5:36.14.
