NB Results from Boston High Performance Series
Eight athletes attended the second event in the Boston High Performance Series on Saturday. In addition to eight performances that live up to the series' high performance designation three athletes ran personal bests. At the 1500m distance, Barry Britt ran a personal best time of 3.56.70 in the men's event while Sarah MacPherson lowered her personal best by over twenty seconds to 4:34.98 in the women's event. In the women's 800m event Geneviève Lalonde lowered her personal best to 2:13.06.

Early Season Track and Field Results
NB athletes have begun their summer track and field season and the first few weeks have been busy.
The Moncton area has hosted the the inaugural Atlantic Throws Summit on May 4th, the SEA Spring Open on May 10th and the first SEA Twilight meet of the season on May 14th. Also on May 14th, Shediac held its first Hershey Tune-Up Meet. Athletes from Fredericton High and Sir James Dunn attended the very competitive Loucks Games in White Plains, NY on May 8th through 10th. Finally the week wound up with the Saint John Twlight meet on May 15th.

Allyson Howatt Named Women's Most Outstanding Track Performer at the America East Championships
Allyson Howatt was named the outstanding female track performer of the America East Championship meet after winning the 100 meter dash (11.96s +0.4m/s), 200 meter dash (24.17s +1.6m/s), and anchoring the winning 4x400 meter relay team (3:50.19).
For the third time this outdoor season Allyson has lowered the 200m NB Senior Women's record. Full results are available from Lancer Timing and there is a synopsis of the meet at the University of Maine Black Bears website.

Allyson Howatt Lowers 200m Record
Competing in the preliminary round of the America East Conference Championship Allyson Howatt lowered her own 200m provincial record with a 24.50 second run into a 1.0m/s headwind. In the preliminary round of the 100m Allyson was the fastest qualifier running a 12.07 into a 2.4m/s headwind. Allyson will compete in both finals later today.
