Sep 29 2011 - Sport Coach Clinic (Old level 1)
Athletics New Brunswick, UNBSJ Varsity Reds - Track and the Saint John Track Club are offering the introductory NCCP course in athletics, called Sport Coach. This course introduces the coach to the basics of all of the event areas in track & field as well as covering principles of athlete development, training design, and many other topics.
WHEN: November 25-27, 2011
WHERE: Campus of UNB Saint John
The registration includes the course materials, which include a course workbook, a reference guide and a DVD full of videos and resources for all areas of track & field. The course uses a combination of interactive classroom learning and hands-on activity sessions to give coaches first-hand experience with the techniques and training methods used in all areas of athletics. Coaches should come prepared to actively take part in learning skills and drills in running, jumping and throwing events.

Sep 20 2011 - Britt 3rd in Seattle
ANB's Barry Britt finished third at the prestigious Sundodger Invitational cross-country meet Saturday. The University of Idaho junior finished the 8-kilometre course in 24 minutes, 14.36 seconds. He led the parade of four Idaho Vandals to place in the top 10. Way to go Barry!
Sep 8 2011 - ANB Awards nomination now open
Nominate an athlete/coach/official or volunteer for Athletics New Brunswick annual awards. The deadline to nominate someone is October 19th. The finalist will be named on October 24th while the winners will be announced at ANB’s Awards Gala on November 19th in Oromocto.

Sep 2 2011 - Shayne Dobson named to the 2011 Parapanamerican Games Team
The New Brunswick Athlete makes his first Team Canada Team.
“This team is an investment in future potential,” states Athletics Canada Lead Coach David Greig. “We are proud of these developing athletes rising to the challenge to qualify for the Parapanamerican Games. Of the athletes only two have been to a major games competition with Athletics Canada before.” Greig adds, “The leadership, guidance and perspective of veteran athlete Jason Dunkerley will help these newcomers build from the experience, on performance through to 2016.”
Jason Dunkerley of Ottawa, Ont., will be headlining Canada’s entry making his second Games appearance. He is the defending champion over both the T11 800-metres and 1500-metres events, highlighted by Games and Canadian records throughout.
