NCAA Outdoor Season Begins

Building upon his outstanding indoor season Michael Leblanc began his outdoor season by lowering his own NB Outdoor Record in the senior men's 100m event to 10.54 seconds. Mike wasn't particularly pleased with his race and it was run into a headwind so it is likely we'll see more improvement as Mike's season progresses. In addition to winning the 100m event Mike also established a new personal best time in the 200m event by running 21.89 seconds. Full results for the Carolina Fast Times meet are available here. Mike maintains his own blog where he details his racing plans and reports on his racing and training experiences. It's always an interesting read.

Allyson Howatt and Jessica Belliveau have been racing outdoors for the past month. They competed in San Diego back on March 16th in addition to meets closer to home in Maine and Massachusetts. Both athletes have been trying out new events with Allyson running 59.94s in the 400m and Jessica running 18:24.94 in her first 5000m event on the track.
