Team NB Wins 6 Medals at National Legion Track & Field Championships

This past weekend in Brandon, Manitoba, 37 of athletes competed for Team New Brunswick at the Canadian Legion Track and Field Championships. The Legion Championships serve as the national championships for athletes in both the U 16 and U18  categories. New Brunswick came home 6 medals, 6 provincial records, and countless personal bests. Max Arsenault recipients of the 2017 Canada Summer Games Roland Michener Award

ANB is extremely happy and proud to announce Max Arsenault of Rothesay is one of this 2017’s Roland Michener award winners. The award is presented by the Canada Games Council (CGC) to student-athletes who exemplify leadership, cooperation and excellence during their athletic careers as well as at the Canada Games. Run Jump Throw Wheel Atlantics were held this past weekend in P.E.I. with no shortage of young and lively New Brunswick athletes. 2018 Maritime Track League

The 4th annual Maritime Track League concluded this year in Prince Edward Island as Charlottetown played host to the Atlantic Championships. This year there were a total of 8 events that served as eligible competitions for the series.  Athlete scores are the sum of the three best performances they have over the course of the eligible meets. Athletes from across the Maritimes gathered in Charlottetown this past weekend to compete at the Atlantic Track and Field Championships. The Alumni Canada Games Place, on the University of Prince Edward Island campus, played host to the event in which over 400 athletes competed.  Athlete of the Month

Athlete of the Month (July 2018): Chris Robertson Veteran Decathlete, Chris Robertson of Moncton, had a breakthrough at the Canadian Senior National Championships earlier in July. In addition to registering 5 personal best individual events, setting the ANB Senior Menís Pole Vault record (4.25m), and eclipsing his previous ANB Decathlon record of 6828 from 2016, Chris finished in 1st place with a score of 7040 points to take the national title in the Menís Decathlon, a feat no other Decathlete from New Brunswick has ever accomplished! Congratulations Chris!
